These terms and conditions form part of the agreement between Blair Drummond Caravan Park Limited and you. By ticking the relevant box on the booking page, you are confirming that you accept the terms and conditions contained herein.
Blair Drummond Caravan Park reserve the right to make any changes to the terms and conditions contained herein from time to time for the purposes of complying with the site licence granted by Stirling Council in respect of the Park, or for complying with any other legal obligation. Such changes shall be notified to you.
Agreement means the terms and conditions contained herein and the Booking.
Arrival Date means the date selected by the Customer as the arrival date on the Booking.
BDCP means Blair Drummond Caravan Park Limited, incorporated under the Companies Acts in Scotland (Registered Number SC674033) and having its Registered Office at C/O Scottish African Safari Park Ltd, Blair Drummond, Stirling, United Kingdom, FK9 4UR.
Booking means the booking made by the Customer via the Gemapark website or in person and confirmed by BDCP.
Caravan means the touring caravan or motor home belonging to the Customer.
Customer means the person making and paying for the Booking (which may or may not also be the Lead Guest).
Departure Date means the date inserted as the departure date on the Booking.
Guests includes the Lead Guest and any other persons visiting or staying at the Park in relation to the Booking.
Hut means a shepherd hut belonging to BDCP and hired by the Customer in a Booking.
Lead Guest means the main contact person at the Park during the Booking being either the Customer or such other person indicated to be the lead guest on the Booking.
Park means Blair Drummond Caravan Park, Cuthil Brae, Blair Drummond, Stirling, FK9 4UP.
Park Staff means any seasonal or regular staff employed or contracted by BDCP at the Park.
Pitch means the pitch allocated to the Customer by BDCP on arrival.
Seasonal means the period for which the Park is open each year (as stated on BDCP website) being dates from around mid-March around the end of October each calendar year.
Site Rules mean the provisions set out in condition 9 (Site Rules).
This Agreement shall come into effect on the date the Customer receives confirmation of their Booking from BDCP. Any bookings or agreements discussed prior to this date shall be treated as provisional.
This Agreement shall, subject to earlier termination in accordance with its terms, automatically expire at the end of the Departure Date.
Any acknowledgement or correspondence sent by BDCP following the Booking being made shall not constitute confirmation of a Booking unless clearly stated.
The Customer is required to make full payment for the Booking at the time the Booking is made.
Where a Booking is cancelled by the Customer in the 7 days prior to the Arrival Date, BDCP shall not be obliged to provide a refund of any sums received in payment for that Booking and any refund given will be at the sole discretion of BDCP.
In the event the Customer cancels the Booking more than 7 days prior to the Arrival Date, BDCP shall be entitled to retain any deposit paid or 20% of the total payment received in respect of the Booking.
In the event the Customer departs the Park prior to the Departure Date, BDCP shall not be obliged to issue a refund for the remaining unused nights of the Booking. Any refund given shall be at the sole discretion of BDCP.
Any refund which BDCP make to the Customer in accordance with clauses 3, 4 or 5 above shall be made using the same payment method as that used for payment for the Booking.
BDCP is not obliged to accommodate requests for specific Pitches.
Bookings for touring Guests must be for no more than 2 weeks.
In order to make a Seasonal Booking, the Customer must submit a completed application form in respect of a Booking for the next season no later than the last week of October in the previous year.
BDCP shall make the Pitch available to the Guests from 12pm on the Arrival Date until 11am on the Departure Date in accordance with this Agreement.
Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as creating a tenancy or lease between BDCP and any Customer or Guest, or as giving any Customer or Guest any right after the Departure Date to remain on the Park.
If a Caravan is temporarily removed during a Booking, BDCP reserve the right to temporarily use the vacant Pitch.
BDCP reserve the right to charge the Customer any supplemental fees as are required (for example, additional cleaning costs or in order to reinstate any Pitch, Hut or other area of the Park in the event the Guests do not comply with these terms and conditions).
The Lead Guest shall comply and ensure that all Guests comply with the Site Rules at all times.
The Lead Guest is responsible for ensuring that when the Caravan is not in use, any gas supply is switched off and power cables unplugged and stored underneath or inside the Caravan. Park Staff are authorised to switch off any gas supply or unplug any power cables as may be necessary.
The Lead Guest may only use the Pitch for recreational or holiday purposes and must not use the Pitch for commercial, holiday lets or residential purposes and must ensure that Guests do the same.
The Lead Guest must notify Park Staff if they intend to remove the Caravan from the Park during the Booking together with their intended departure and return dates (for security purposes).
Guests must check in on the Arrival Date between 12pm and 7pm. If Guests are likely to arrive outwith these times, BDCP must be notified as soon as reasonably possible. Guests arriving out of hours are required to collect a late arrival pack from the late arrivals box. Parking in the late arrivals stand on the left-hand side immediately after the Park entrance is exclusively reserved for arrivals after sundown.
Upon arrival, the Lead Guest must check in with Park Staff who shall supply a Park map, Pitch (or Hut) allocation and further information as may be necessary for the purposes of the Booking.
On departure, which for Bookings for Pitches must be before 11am or for Huts before 10am on the Departure Date, Guests shall leave the Pitch or Hut in a neat, clean and tidy condition and free from litter.
The Customer acknowledges that BDCP is not liable in respect of any damage to, loss or theft of a Caravan or any personal property during the Booking and will make their own insurance arrangements in respect of the Caravan and/or Booking. The Lead Guest is responsible for the safety and security of the Caravan and Guests staying in the Caravan during the Booking.
The Lead Guest is responsible for proper and careful use of the Pitch and the Park by them and the Guests. The Lead Guest shall be responsible for any damage (accidental or otherwise) to the Park and/or any materials, equipment or structure at the Park caused by the Lead Guest or any other Guests, and must report such damage to BDCP immediately upon becoming aware of it. The Lead Guest shall pay to BDCP immediately on demand all liabilities, costs and expenses of any kind incurred by BDCP in making good any such damage.
Nothing in this Agreement limits any liability which cannot legally be limited, including:
death and personal injury caused by negligence; and
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
BDCP's total liability to the Customer shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer pursuant to the Booking.
Lead Guests in a booking for a Hut must:
not damage or permit any other Guest to damage any of the furniture, appliances fixtures, fittings or decoration in the Hut;
not to smoke or permit any other Guest to smoke inside the Hut;
not to tamper with or permit any other Guest to tamper with any alarms or safety equipment in the Hut;
comply and ensure other Guests comply with any instructions given by BDCP in relation to use of the Hut, any appliances or safety equipment and departure;
Bookings for a Hut shall be for a duration of no less than 2 nights and no more than 21 nights.
Guest Behaviour - Guests must at all times act in such a manner so as not to disrupt any other visitor to the park. Guests must not engage in any illegal activity or other conduct which may be a nuisance, inconvenience or disruption to BDCP, Park Staff or any other visitor to the Park. Any noise produced by Guests after 10:30pm must be kept to a minimum.
Park Staff and Security - All notices posted on the Park and instructions of Park Staff given in the course of their employment must be adhered to by Guests. Verbal and physical abuse towards Park Staff is strictly not tolerated and Guests are strictly prohibited from filming Staff. Guests engaging in this behaviour shall be asked to leave the Park. CCTV is in use at the Park, situated at the office, entrance and exit all of which are sign-posted on location for safety and security purposes.
Pitch Maintenance - Guests must ensure Pitches are kept in a clean and tidy condition for the duration of their Booking. BDCP may (at its sole discretion) require the removal of anything it considers to be unsightly. Garden furniture is not permitted on Pitches. Guests are limited to a maximum of two plant pots and one storage box per Pitch. Storage boxes must be placed securely at the rear of pitches. Waste containers and water containers must be placed on the designated hard-standing area to allow for maintenance and grass-cutting. Units, cars, and awnings (including pegs) must remain on the hardstanding, not the grass, to allow for maintenance. Protect grass by regularly lifting groundsheets and awning side flaps, as instructed by Park Staff. When absent from the Pitch, motor home users shall mark the Pitch as occupied. No trailers are to be left around the Caravan.
Sanitation, Rubbish and Hygiene - Guests must ensure that waste containers are placed on the designated hard standing to allow Park Staff access for grass cutting and maintenance. General waste must be disposed of at the designated bin points. Mixed recyclables must be disposed of in the designated area at the water and waste station points. Guests must ensure that any medical items (e.g. needles) or other sharp materials are disposed of in a safe manner. Chemical toilets and wastewater must be emptied at the designated disposal points only. Causing chemical toilet or wastewater disposal points to overflow is strictly not permitted. Bulky items such as disposable nappies must be placed in a bag and disposed of in the designated bins.
Fire - Guests must familiarise themselves with the Park's fire safety procedures and fire point locations. Fire extinguishers are available at the office, facilities block and service points. To prevent fire risks, a 3-metre gap must be maintained between the facing walls of adjacent units (caravans, motorhomes, or trailer tents). Awnings must also maintain this gap. Fires are not permitted on site. Fire pits and chimineas are permitted and must be small in size and always supervised. Barbecues are allowed. Smoke and fumes must not disturb other guests. Barbecues and fires must be raised off the ground to reduce fire risk and prevent grass damage.
Electrical Equipment - All electrical equipment must comply with current British Standards and regulations. No heaters of any kind are permitted under awnings. BDCP is not responsible for electrical equipment safety beyond Park socket outlets. Cables, plugs, and other connected equipment are the responsibility of Guests. BDCP reserve the right to request that Guests unplug and refrain from using any electrical equipment which trips or is likely to trip BDCP's power supply.
Children - Children must be supervised at all times and are the responsibility of parents/guardians. Onsite play equipment is not supervised by Park Staff and children must be supervised by parents/guardians when using such equipment. Ball games are only permitted at the children's play area. The use of bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller skates or other similar wheeled devices is permitted only if supervised and between dusk and dawn. Users of such wheeled devices must adhere to the 5mph speed limit, one way system, designated non-cycling zones and must give way to pedestrians. The use of such wheeled devices on Pitches is strictly prohibited. The family room is reserved for families with young children.
Animals - Pet owners must ensure pets are well-behaved and under control. Dogs must be on secure leads no longer than 3 metres and should be exercised in the designated dog exercise area for this purpose. Guests must clean up after their pets immediately, including on pitches, and dispose of waste in dog bins provided. Only guide or assistance dogs are permitted inside Park facilities.
Vehicles and Road Safety - The speed limit for the Park is 5mph and must be adhered to at all times. The one-way system must be adhered to at all times and without exception. Anyone driving a vehicle at the Park must have a valid drivers' licence, insurance and road tax in respect of the vehicle. Only one vehicle is permitted per Pitch and any additional vehicles must be parked in the car park. Work vehicles are not permitted on the Park unless expressly permitted by BDCP and only for the purposes of loading or unloading only. Guests must ensure that roads and routes are kept clear at all times for emergency vehicles.
The Park is private property and access is granted solely at the discretion of BDCP. Any breach of any of the Site Rules may result in BDCP requiring the removal of any Guest and/or Caravan.
BDCP shall have the right to terminate this Agreement and require the removal of any Caravan or Guest from the Park for:
serious breach of this Agreement and/or the Site Rules by the Customer, Lead Guest or other Guests;
in order to ensure the safety of Park Staff, Guests or other visitors to the Park (such circumstances to include, but shall not be limited to, severe weather warnings);
any other reasonable purpose.
BDCP shall not incur any liability of any nature to the Customer for termination of this Agreement in accordance with this condition 10 and is not obliged to give any refund in respect of any termination of this Agreement, though may do so at its sole discretion.
Privacy and Data Protection - BDCP will collect and process data in accordance with BDCP's privacy policy. The Customer is responsible for ensuring Guests are aware that any data will be processed by BDCP in accordance with BDCP's privacy policy.
Assignation - The Customer may not transfer the Booking to anyone else without BDCP's prior written consent.
Third Party Rights - The Agreement is between BDCP and the Customer. and no one else can enforce it.
Changes - If the Customer requires to make any changes to a Booking, then any change will be at the sole discretion of BDCP.
Severance - If a court or other authority decides that some of these terms are unlawful, the rest will continue to apply.
Governing law and jurisdiction - This Agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by Scots law.

The office is open 9am – 5pm Sunday to Thursday, and 9am – 6pm Friday and Saturday. Closing time is extended to 6pm each night from July 1st to 30th September. Last entry to the site is no later than 6pm.
